The bluegrass state - sending schools across kentucky - to help districts prepare for possible closures - related to spikes in covid-19 cases.... new research shows - closing schools can reduce the surge of coronavirus cases by 40 to 60 percent.... the board of education*is preparing for a rise in cases once the school year begins.... this has some kentucky parents concerned - about sending their kids back in the fall.... by being a mom of a first grader, in elelementary.

Obviously, elementary age range, especially the first grade, you tend to get a little bit more snotty noses, coughing, not covering your mouth when you sneeze, so fourth, so that kind of concerns me?

Not one kentucky school in the tri-state - has officially announced their re-opening plans.... but - daviess county public schools are considering pushing back the start date for the fall.... we expect to learn more on thursday - after their district meeting concludes.... holiday world welcoming back guests for opening day in santa claus.

New safety regulations are in place -- employees must wear masks... new this year guests will have to use a reservation system for securing seats on their favorite rides.

Holiday world opens this morning -- splashinsafari is tentatively scheduled to open on the 4th of july.

Guests will need to purchase tickets online to make sure theyl be able to enter the park with its capacity restrictions... market on main is back up in downtown evansville - after a successful 2nd week..

... new safety regulations are in place - with vendors wearing masks - hand sanitizer stations available - while social distancing is encouraged.... market on main is open from 9-30 a.m.
