Nursing Home Outbreak

We're learning more about a coronavirus outbreak at a nursing home in florence.

Three people have died from the virus and there are 39 positive cases right now at florence nursing and rehabilitation center.

Waay 31's rodneya ross joins us live this morning outside the madison county public health department with what we know about those who tested positive at the facility.

The executive director at florence nursing and rehabilitation confirmed both residents and employees tested positive for the coronavirus take a look at your screen -- of the 39 people who have tested positive, 19 are residents and 20 are employees.

Three residents have died.

Nursing home officials tell us five of the 19 residents have recovered from the virus.

Right now, it's not clear how many residents or staff members are currently hospitalized.
