Louisiana state fire marshal "butch" browning says his office is going to start courtesy compliance checks in business across the state."sot: "we are randomly going to business we are going in in a very free spirited very corporative nature to take to business owners to number one make sure they are following guidelines and number two make sure they are able to apply those mitigation measures."

Fire marshals will be double checking to ensure social distancing and the cleanliness of the buildings...though its not required he recommends business take extra precautions.sot: "we are looking for other measures where others are encouraged to take temperatures monitor their health conditions and if they are feeling sick please stay home."

Mayor president josh guillory clarifying earlier this week that the goal of these checks are not force businesses to close again.sot: "we are not going in there to shut businesses down we are goin in there and looking for ways to help businesses prosper in a safe manner."

Browning says so far the've visited hundreds of business, all of which have been grateful for their help.sot: "i have to talk about our business owners that have been tremendous they love to get this information everyone wants to keep their employees and patrons safe."
