CDC adds more symptoms to Covid-19... and should Hamilton County make facemasks mandatory?
Jim coppinger says coming up tonight at 6 protesters gathered outside the bradley county jail monday morning to help bring awareness about inmates who are not receiving proper personal protective equipment.
Officials say they currently have 33 inmates who tested positive for the virus.
Protesters are claiming that inmates inside the bradley county jail are not given the proper ppe or masks to be worn to help protect themselves from the positive cases.
Loved ones with inmates inside the jail started a petition to help supply the inmates with masks.
That petition now has over 30-thousand signatures.
Protesters say the inmates feel like they aren't being treated as human beings.
My thing is if they are able to offer masks to the people who come in for a visitation then they should be readily available to the inmates or at least for those who want one.
Bradley county officials say the tennessee co "its such a non intrusive simple thing to do.
It doesn't hurt.
You don't have to get poked or probed.
The state can supply effective masks at little to no costs.
There are different masks for different hazards.
But if they are trained and can understand that, then yeah i think it can help alot.
