I had a chance to stop by westside to checkout the football team's workout session the seminoles have lost some key pieces... but they're confident they can still compete for a state title ... they finished last season 6-5 overall and 4-2 in their region their explosive offense averaged just over 31 points per game ... the seminoles made it to the playoffs for the 19th time out of 22 years ... they're also top 10 in the state in terms of most wins without a state title .... with 187 ... here's head coach spoon risper on the mic ... :01-:06 yeah, you know, we're all hoping and praying that we have a football season.

You know, our country is going through so much right now.

A lot of things going on, and we need a positive vibe.

A positive light, you know, on our country right now, and football is that outlet if ... there's a football season ... coach spoon talks about his expectations for his squad ... :01-:06 well, we're expecting, you know, typical westside football.

We lost some really good players last year.

We gotta rebuild a little bit, but that's football.

That's high school football.
