Of course... the process to see your loved ones..

Won't look the same..as it did..

Before the pandemic.

And personal care and family care homes were allowed to have visitors..

But starting today..

All facilities will be able to.

That includes..

Skilled nursing facilities..

Nursing facilities..

Nusring homes..

And intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual allowed to happen..

If social distng is in place..nd if the facility hasnt seen a covid- 19 case in 28 days... in residents or staff.

Thats 14 days..

For assisted living facilities.

Each home is allowed to make its own plan..

But the states healthy at work guidelines say it must involve..

Testing residents and staff..

Limiting the number of visitors and how long they stay..

And finding a non- residental area for the visit.

Visitors should be screened before entering.

The center says its because of the increased number of coronavirus cases in fayette and jessamine county.

It says it will reopen to visitors next wednesday if those cases go down.

Meanwhile--- signature healthcare... says it's allowing limited in-person, outdoor visitation starting today... but thats only at facilities where strict requirements from the state are met.

Give them a call instead, try and use smart technology like facetime or zoom to be able to have that face to face conversation.

If you go into one of these places while you're sick you're really exposing them and potentially fatal consequences.
