Thousands of lee county residents can get free face masks this week.

You can get the masks at the lee county multipurpose center for the elderly on cliff gookin boulevard.

Each car gets at least one bag with five masks in it.

The masks were supplied by the lee county board of supervisors as a way to help people, especially the elderly, protect themselves from covid 19.

"here at the lee county multipurpose center we serve the elderly, also serving elderly with frozen meals, also giving out masks that way and this is something we can do for the community, no age limit, you can come, get free masks.

" the masks will be distributed thursday from 8 until 2 for anyone who needs masks.

There are more than sixteen thousand masks available for distribution.
