Southwest Allen County Schools announces return to school plan

Southwest Allen County Schools officially unveiled its return to school plan Friday.

Another school district has decided to return to the classroom come fall.southwest allen county schools released its 'return to school' plan earlier today.fox 55's mallory beard went over the details of the 37 page document and how s-a-c-s staff are adjusting to the statewide changes due to covid 19.

There's an online option and a return to school option with some modifications due to the covid situation."

Downs says he's optimistic about the students' return.

And after being gone since march, southwest allen county faculty can't wait to the students faces.phil downs//sacs superintendent"it was great having graduation where we could see some in the buildings and everybody was happy to see that but we really miss having the kids around."families across the region experienced difficulty transitioning to at home education when covid-19 hit.

But downs says that wasn't the case the southwest allen county schools."this would have been our seventh year of e learning when we would have snow days or things like that."
