A sculptor in Asansol, West Bengal has created a wax statue of Sushant Singh Rajput as a mark of tribute to the late Bollywood actor. The sculptor, Sukanto Roy has unveiled the wax statue at his museum and people have been coming in to get a glimpse of the statue. Some were also seen taking pictures with the wax statue of Sushant Singh Rajput. The sculptor is reportedly a big fan of the late actor. Roy has also created the wax statue of other famous personalities including actor Amitabh Bachchan and Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli at his museum. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on 14th June, 2020. CBI, ED and NCB are probing different angles of the case. Sushant’s family has alleged that Rhea Chakraborty and his family of abetment to suicide and siphoning off the actor’s money. Rhea, her brother Showik and some others are also under the custody of the NCB in connection with the drug angle of the Sushant death case. Watch the full video for all the details.

A mentally disabled woman climbed on an electric pole in West Bengal's Asansol on September 14. Several people gathered near the pole to watch her and take her down. Soon after receiving the information about the incident, fire and police officials came to rescue her. After a lot of hard work by the officials woman was brought down.
Even as Covid cases in West Bengal continue to surge, a blatant flouting of Covid norms was witnessed during an event in Asansol which was attended by the state’s Law Minister Moloy Ghatak. The minister was felicitating toppers of the state examinations. Many people had gathered at the venue. No social distancing norms were in place which a brazen violation of the government’s guidelines. While the minister himself was seen with a mask, many people who were in close contact with him were not wearing masks. This comes at a time when West Bengal Covid cases in West Bengal crossed 1,38,870 after the highest single-day spike of 3,274 new infections was reported on Sunday. The death toll due to the disease also rose to 2,794 with 57 more people succumbing to coronavirus infection. Wearing masks and maintaining social distancing are some of the key preventive measures that the government has urged people to follow to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
