Our top story tonight at 11: macon-bibb commissioners pass an emergency ordinance requiring the use of face coverings in public.

The mandate states you must wear a face covering when visiting or working any commercial establishment, government office, or other enclosed location.

You do not have to wear a mask if you are under the age of 10, in a personal vehicle, exercising, when eating, drinking, or smoking, if a face covering causes or aggravates a health condition or when its prevents personal services like medical, dental or other care services.

If anyone violates the ordinance, it's no more than a 25 dollar fine the first time, no more than 50 the second time and no more than 100 for the third and any subsequent offenses.

Commissioners also approved a plan to move the confederate statues from downtown to whittle park at rose hill cemetery.

These are the renderings of how the county will move forward with plans to create a plaza at cotton avenue and second street, once the statue there is removed.

After the daughters of the confederacy statue at poplar street and first stree is moved, a roundabout will go there.

The resolution also includes plans for improvements at rosa parks square.

The total cost of the projects could be up to 5 million
