New at noon -- lee county supervisors decided to keep the confederate statue where it is on the courthouse grounds.
And they did it without a vote.
The board's only black supervisors -- tommie lee ivey -- made a motion to move the statue.
But no one else on the board seconded the motion, which kept the statue at its current spot.
Supervisor phil morgan issued a statement saying moving the monument would not have any effective results in race relations.
We'll share with you more reactions about this decision later today on w-t-v-a nine news.
