."

John cruz i'm ready to go.

Vo after an extra long summer break, mississippi state opened its doors for classes to begin.

However, the school is taking serious precautions to keep those doors open.

Kirsten mansel (sophomore) i only have one class that's actually in person...other than that i have to figure everything out on my own and do everything online.

Online classes are a common occurrence in students course load this semester.

(need a line about how big the crowds were.

And how the traffic was on the way to class.

Administrators say they are taking precautions for in-person classes.

Kirsten mansel (sophomore) they're like breaking it up into groups, like on thursday you had to sign up for a time to go to the lab.

John cruz (senior) they have each seat separated so they're trying to social distance right now.

And the cafeterias(??) are also looking different.

John cruz (senior) i went to go eat earlier and they had like special lines set up so i think everything is going well for the most part.

Look live: the students i talked with today say they are eager to be back in the classroom but these next few weeks will be a big indication on if it is safe to have in person classes.

Reporting from starkville, i'm rhea thornton wtva 9 news.
