Students return to traditional

2 schools in lawrence county are getting ready to open for traditional classes for the first time this year.

Classes at moulton elementary and moulton middle school moved to online, after staff members were exposed to the coronavirus.

Waay31s sierra phillips is live with more on the first day of in person classes for these students.

Moulton elementary and moulton middle schools were supposed to open to in person classes two weeks ago along with the rest of the school district.

But -- because several staff members were exposed to the virus, those schools started remotely.

Staff at both schools were in close contact with someone who tested positive for the coronavirus.

During the switch to virtual learning, the superintendent told us teachers would be leniant with grading assignements.

Moulton middle school posted on facebook a reminder to parents to have their kids bring their chromebooks and chargers to class for in- person learning today.
