Cooperstown Schools announced this year the district would be opening remotely in September, followed by a planned transition to a hybrid model in October.

Remotely, and then transitioning to a hybrid model in october.

They held the last of their three meetings virtually, this afternoon.

The first day of remote instruction will begin on september 9th.

The district plans on transitioning to a hybrid model on october 5th.

They plan to use google classroom and zoom through october 2nd, then after that transitioning all students to physically attending school two days a week.

"we are just one of a couple (several) different schools i know of in our region that are opening remotely, i would say the differences between fall and spring remote instruction are going to be vastly different.

You're going to see that happening very differently cse our tehers are w trained, anthey'reo workn a way, that'seen carefully thought out, butthat o evolve as we learn better ways to reach our students remotely."

The district says any future decisions to return to remote learning will depend on the number of students and staff who are sick, decisions made by the local or state health departments, and ppe supply.
