"Carnival Eats" happening this weekend at Herkimer County Fairgrounds

This weekend would have been the weekend of the Herkimer County Fair and The New York State Fair.

Both Fairs were cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But, there still is some action at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds.

"carnival eats" presented by gillette shows is being held at the fairgrounds this weekend.

Gillette shows normally serves the herkimer county fair and is hosting food trucks there this weekend.

There is a variety of food including fried dough, pizza, french fries, ice cream, cotton candy, cookies, and thats just to name a few... "we did want to get people out during fair week.

It was very disappointing not to have a county fair this year, so this was our way to get the people out to our county fair.

I think it's important to know that all the fairs are in the same boat together and if you can sponsor anything on your county fair, please help the county fairs by supporting any event that happens at the county fairs this year."

Carnival eats continues tomorrow from noon to 8:00pm and sunday from noon to 7:00pm.

Admission is free.

Masks are required, except for when you sit down to eat.

Take out is also available.
