To bundrant stadium..

Interestingly enough..

And also the last time the huskies started conference play 2-0.

1st quarter..

North is on it defensively.

A pack of huskies take advantage of the bad snap..

Mitchell happe credited with the tackle.

North goes up 2 - 0 with the safety..

And when they get the ball back..

They strike again.

The ground game working for the huskies..

Ethan brawdy hands it off to capoleton presswood..

And the senior back is able to find some space.

Down the far sideline he goes until he eventually gets pushed out of bounds..

It's 2-0 after 1.

Start of the second..

Brawdy fakes the handoff and finds t.j.

Hankins..

It's 9 - 0 north... and the huskies continued to feast.

On their very next drive..

They go deep into the playbook.

Brawdy to jaylonn mitchell..

Who dials it up deep to a wide open cameron gehlhausen..

61 yards to the house..

North in front by 16.

Memorial looking for answers..

But it just wasn't the tigers night.

Another bad snap..

This time it's cale johnson getting the tackle for loss..

And when the tigers punted..

North continued to work the ground game.

Presswood slippery when wet..

Making moves in a phonebooth as he rumbles for a 21 yard gain to move the chains.

And when they got close..

They went to hankins again..

Finding paydirt once more for the home team..

The other team sitting on top of the conference is central the bears posted a 21-0 shutout last week.... and look to continue that dominance this week.

Central wastes no time getting things going.

Opening kickoff... bears reverse it to tori evans... the senior turns on the jets... gets some blocks... he... could... go... all... the.... way.

And just like that central strikes first.

The visitors not done there though.

Blake herdes hands it off to jacob boberg... he picks up a first down as the bears continue to march.

Central finishes it off... once again sticking to the ground game... and who else?

Evans on the carry once again..

It's 14 nothing central.

Now the bears get defensive.

Here comes javonte madison with the big time stop.

And for good measure... now it's boberg's turn get in on the fun..

The bears actually faked me out on this play.

The senior taking it to his left..

Toeing the sideline and getting popped before crossing the goal line.

Central wins 62-0.

Across town on the west side..

Both mater dei and castle are looking to get in the win column after suffering losses to open the season.

Second quarter..

Game tied at threes.

Cameron tilly fakes the handoff and fakes me out too... taking it to his left and picks up big time yards being forced out of bounds.

Castle continues to march.

But alex money says no more.

The senior coming up with the sack.

Mater dei takes over.

Now it's the knights turn to flex on defense.

Daviontae hughes breaking up the pass on third down.

Final seconds of the second.

Castle deep in their own territory... tilly flips to collin schnider and the senior turns it into something positive... but this one would remain tied at the half.

Third quarter..

Here comes big james ralph on the sack.

The big fella is fired up.

Wildcats take over.

But the drive is short lived.

Tyler furbee comes up with the interception on the play.

And john as you say the worst thing about turnovers is when the other team turns them into points.

Final seconds of the third... jackson mitchell is good from 40 yards out at the buzzer.

That turns out to be the game winner.

Knights win 6-3.

Reitz and vincennes both started with big victories in week 1..

The panthers winning by 26..

While the alices coasted by 28.
