//////// let me introduce you to where "the alternative child care program" and "the pod program" will take place...the vigo county "y".

Both of these programs are brand new and offer options for families.

The mission for both... is simple.

They work to help your child succeed with remote learning.

Both programs are designed for children grades k-through-8.

"the alternative child care program" caters to your child's scheduling needs.

Kids can go to the y on days they are not physically in school.

They offer help and support on those e-learning days.

Now as for "the pod program"..

The mission is very similar.

But it's available monday through friday.

Youth program director cayce evans says..

It's all about supporting our kids.

We have several staff members that have either been teachers or worked in schools" ///////// the "y" tells me..they are limited on the number of kids they can serve.
