The victim is being treated for a single gunshot wound... carlson is now in the shasta county jail.

### national forest closures for the pacific south west region have been extended through this week due to wind and fire dangers.

That is the eldorado, tahoe, tahoe absin, plumas, lassen, mendocino, klamath, six rivers, shasta- trinity, and modoc national forests.

The forest service says these prohibitions are in place for public safety and natural resource protections so violations will be punnishable by fine or imprisonment.
