Nine news at five.

The greenhill humane society is taking care of dozens of pets... affected by wildfires in our area.

But they're going to need help.

Officials transfered out their adoptable animals to the oregon humane society, to make room.

Right now, they have 75 animals.

They're sending in escorted staff to wildfire areas to help rescue animals and provide firefighters with food..

Megan brezovar / event/community engagement coordinator greenhill humane society "lane county fire is unreal, these guys- these women and men are working so hard.

They just picked up a huge truckload of pet food so that they can lure animals that are free that we're trying to catch.

We've stocked them with crates and we're checking in with them multiple times a day to make sure that we can get those animals out of harms way and into a safe place while we find their people."

Duration 22" greenhill is also taking donated animal food to hotels where families are staying.

They say they've been "blown away" by donations from the community... and companies that have donated medicine and supplies to help injured animals.
