At north central.... one of the great things about my 18 years covering sports in the wabash valley is the awesome people i've been able to meet and work with at different high schools.... recently one athletic director i've known my entire time here in the area informed me this school year will be his last...... < if you've been to linton you've seen this sign.
The same thing holds true for athletic director charlie karazsia....you'll like him as well..... "larger than life figure".
"he bleeds the red and blue".
For 45 years now charlie has called linton home.
"sports has always been apart of his life.
Been a coach here, ad.
Always wants what's best for kids and something community can be proud of".
Karazsia started his career at linton in the 70's with football....for 12 years he had an amazing run as the miners head coach but its his legacy as the schools ad over the last 22 years that has left the biggest impact.

Been able to win multiple state championships in variety of sports under his tenure".

Having a ad that was a successful coach helps".
Karazsia's presence has been much bigger than wins or losses or sectionals, regional, semi-state or state titles.
He's seen a lot through his four plus decades in miners country and he's happy to have passed along any wisdom he can to help a fellow linton miner.

Try's to mentor to them.
Tries to pass that younger guys".
