A Sullivan woman is holding onto her life after she was involved in a hit and run.

Community members are coming together..

To support a woman who's fighting for her life.

They're holding a benefit after she was involved in a "hit and run."

To share what the community is doing to help a "sullivan" woman in critical conditions.

"paralyzed" from the waist down..

That's the result of this hit and run..

And now "heather reeves" will have to learn a whole new life once she leaves the hospital.

Before her accident... she was evicted from her home.

Days later..

The bad news continued..

Where she was slammed by another vehicle.

She's currently in the hospital... in i-c-u.

And breathing from a ventilator.

Her cousin... reached out to us for help.

He's putting on a benefit to get her back on track once she's released.

It'll take place sunday the 20th..

B-b-q plates will be served..

And they're 10 dollars a person.

All of the money will go towards "heather."

Her cousin says..

It's to help her re-start a new life.

"it's just all gonna go straight to housing for her and her family that way she can get used to being able to be in her wheel chair, relearn how to do everyday life."
