Utica police are investigating a swastika painted on a statue out in front of the church.

The face of the statue also covered in red graffiti.

Police say the person or persons who did this could be charged.

Utica police are looking into when this may have happened, and who did it.

They say- an investigation has immediately begun.

The utica police department and the city administration takes acts of hate against any religious or community group seriously and these acts will not be tolerated in our community.

They're asking anyone with information to call them at (315) 223-3464 the person or persons involved could face charges of aggravated harrassment.
