A statue on the parkway that's defaced.
It's the christopher columbus statue on the corner of the parkway and mohawk street.
On one side of the statue in red graffiti it says "killer" and on the other side it says "kill" also in red graffiti.
It happened some time between last night and early this morning.
Police say the person or persons who did this could be charged with criminal mischief.
A local man is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible.
Scalise says: "15:22as soon as i seen it, i was disgusted by it.
46;07 i'm hoping that somebody knows something and they will give the information so that they can prosecute those who are responsible and the reward is up to 2600 dollars.
I had people calling me non-stop adding to the reward 59;15 over the summer a petition was created to remove the statue.
Scalise strongly opposed that petition.
The city is responsible for cleaning the graffiti.
