WEB: Devine Carama across ky vosot

Activist devine carama is c1 3 kentucky -- from pikeville to paducah -- to raise awareness for voter registration.

He started tuesday in pikeville...walking and stopping in towns along the way.

Today he made it to louisville...we caught up with him in lexington earlier.

He says he started this.... not to tell people how to vote...but to encourage those who normally don't vote...to feel comfortable doing so.

He's been walking around 15 hours each day ...spreading an important message is taking a toll on him.

"my feet are sore, my feet my legs.

You know i tell people i didn't train for this you know i'm a i'm almost 40 years old i'm a girl dad dad body, you know, so i'm aching all over, um, but it's a sacrifice but it's the least, ya know, that i can engage in when i think about what my ancestors did just for me to have the right to vote."

He hopes to educate people on hw important it is to vote in local elections, not just for president... carama hopes to be in elizabethtown and paducah in the next couple of days.

### voter registration in kentucky closes monday...and then the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is at the end of the week october 9th.

This fall there will be 3 weeks of early in-person voting.

That starts october 13th.
