So today mndot's 101 plows in the 11 county district are working on checking over equipment as they wait for the snow to fall.

Salt and brine are ready to treat the roads ?

Mndot also says its a good time of year for drivers to look over their vehicles and make sure their cars and their winter emergency kits are good to go for the cold, snowy months ahead.
