Tah-koda's restaurant survived the flames, but was without power for more than a week.
But instead of packing up and waiting for things to get better -- the owners and their emloyees stepped up to the plate -*literally.
They provided meals for firefighters for several weeks after the fire started.
At one point, they were making nearly 400 meals a day.
We were able to stay here once we found out our restaurant was saved.
And we prepared meals for emergency personell and 140 fire crew- men and women - for over 21 days and we did breakfast lunch and dinner, and it was an incredible thing the restaurant worked with fire managers to secure a contract -- so that a seperate kitchen didn't have to be brought in.
