The us has added nearly 500,000 new cases over the past week, and about three-quarters of the states are trending in the wrong direction.
Nearly 70,000 cases are being reported a day... and the 7-day average is the highest its ever been.
Several states are starting to reimpose restrictions they had early on in the pandemic.
