Lafayette Christian School honors Veterans in drive-thru parade

Lafayette Christian School is honoring our veterans.

Wednesday morning the school held a drive-thru parade.

Several cars drove up as students stood outside with masks on.

The students waived american flags and said "thank you" to each veteran.

Lafayette christian school normally holds a veterans day assembly in its gymnasium.

However this year it was modified due to covid-19.

Music teacher, leslie sutton, says even though 20-20 has been a unpredictable year it's possible to celebrate safely.

"even though we are in this covid season with all of these restrictions, that we still do want to honor them and recognize what they've done for our country."

The parade lasted for about fifteen minutes.
