It had plans to hand out carry out meals and delivering thanksgiving dinners..
But after damage in the kitchen and dining area... they had to think fast.
The turkeys were saved by a local church who offered use of their freezers, but that wasn't the case for everything.
"the other food stuffing mix instant potato mix, all of the things we were using for thanksgiving... they were destroyed the boxes from the water.
So we'll be wanting to replace those at some point."
The center says it's still hoping to be able to deliver thanksgiving meals.
Staff members are continuing to evaluate the situation and needs for the center to reopen.
