A craft fair was held in Chico for the holidays despite the pandemic.

Action News Now reporter Amy Lanski takes us on a visit to the fair.

No one on the ground was hurt despite covid-19 restrictions the 2020 celebtration market was still able to take place in chico today.

Action news now reporter amy lanski was there and tells us why it was important to vendors.

Since covid this is the first event she has even been able to go through so it means a lot."

Rebecca lowers "i am really happy this came together, it is a huge bunch of people here and it has really been a success."

Rebecca lowers has a business 'powers of lowers' where she sells hand crafted items that are made out of repurposed goods.

She says the event made christmas possible for her family this year.

"we have done a lot of bartering with other vendors.

So i have done all my christmas shopping here.

I have been holding it off.

So we have done a lot of bartering we will trader and do stuff that way.

What i have made here will allow me to provide a christmas for my family."

The organizers who are also both camp fire survivors said the past two years have been hard, so this was essential for them.

Christina seashore: "our priority at the beginning was to be sure we were following all the regulations and several times a day we would check all over california to make sure we were doing the right thing."

Christina seashore and samantha zangrilli added they had a back up plan to make everything virtual if they had to.

Samantha zangrilli "i am really glad we didn't have to do that because it is a lot of work.

I am also really cherishing the time i get to spend with one of my best friends and all of my community members.

I am really glad we can do it in person."
