Gov. Beshear Launches Fund to Create Permanent COVID-19 Memorial

Beshear launched the Team Kentucky COVID-19 Memorial Fund, which will help create a permanent memorial at the Capitol for all Kentuckians whose lives have been lost to the virus.

Governor beshear - looking to honor lives lost to covid-19 - with a permanent memorial.... the state has started a "team kentucky memorial fund" - asking people to donate what they can.... on march 6th - exactly one year from the first confirmed case in the commonwealth - the governor and first lady honored the now 5000 lives lost to the virus.'... for months - a flag has been placed on the capitol grounds for each - with wreath laying ceremonies marking major death tolls.... "this monument will stand in honor of all the kentuckians we have lost and commemorate the sacrifice that every kentuckian made during this dark and difficult period."
