1 man rescued from flood, search underway in Sheffield

We're on top of breaking news out of the shoals.

Multiple crews are in a flooded area in sheffield after a man was rescued from flood-waters.

Waay 31's breken terry is live near where that rescue took place.

I'm here on oakwood boulevard and you can see dive teams, ema, police and firefighters on scene.

Here is how this all started i had just interviewed pastor grigsby of life song church because they flooded a little last night then when we were walking out we heard sirens and saw a man in the water yelling for help.

Without hesitiation pastor grigsby and his son ran over to the man getting in the water.

Police and fire were on scene too and running over to the man and got him out.

They were able to get him out.

Sheffield police believe the man could be on drugs.

The man told them his kid was in the water so that's why they are now searching this area.

It's unclear if anyone is in the water but crews here told me they'd rather be safe than sorry.
