, mandy today on mom to mom, i'm here at community action council where we are joined with sharon price, who is the executive director.

Sharon, what are we going to be talking about today?

Sharon price: we're going to be talking about unapologetically woman today.

Mandy i lovethis.

So obviously, it's about empowering women.

Sharonprice: unapologeticallywoman celebrates women all across kentucky who are making a difference in theirneighborhoods and their communities in their everyday life.

And so this isn'tjust about the work that they do on one day or during one month.

This is thework that women do every single day throughout the year.

And we want to shine alight on it and let everybody know about all of the amazing things that womenare doing in our communities.

Mandy that's soamazing.

Now you're taking nominations for these right now.

How does someone goabout doing that?

Sharonprice: so we'reasking people to nominate their favorite unapologetically woman and they go toour website commaction.org and nominate the woman that they believe is making adifference day in and day out in the community so we can recognize andcelebrate them.

Mandy: so once youget all these nominations, how are you going to recognize these women?

Sharon price: we're goingto have interviews with all of these women and it's going to be posted on allof our social media sites.

And then at the end of the year, we're going to havean unapologetically woman of the year and it's going to be through acelebration at a sneaker ball.

Mandy what?that's so cool.

Sharonprice: yes, yes.so what a sneaker ball is, is where everybody dresses up and women put on theirfavorite pair of sneakers and we rock it out and celebrate one another.

Mandy: that is amazing.

I always love a good partycelebrating other women.
