A Thai woman had a gauze left inside her vag*ina for two months after giving birth.

Sirivimol Boonchom, 23, noticed the foul odor coming out of her private parts weeks after she gave birth in a hospital in Buriram province, Thailand in March 10.

The mother-of-two found out what had been causing the stench when she was showering and a gauze pad oozed out of her vag*ina on May 24.

She realised that bungling doctors forgot to remove the gauze after delivering her baby.

The woman said the smell started around 15 days after giving birth and thought it was normal for recovering mothers like her.

She said: ‘It was too smelly, even my husband could smell it and didn’t want to sleep close to me.

I went to see the doctors but they said I was normal and didn’t find anything wrong with me.’ Sirivimol did not feel any pain but noticed that there was something blocking from inside her urethra which felt strange.

Despite the alleged medical malpractice, the woman said she does not plan to sue the hospital nor the doctors and only wanted to raise awareness.

She said: ‘I don’t want to sue them I just want everyone to know what happened to raise awareness.

I am relieved that the gauze was out now.’ Her husband Amornthep Deedpinram, 26, said: ‘This was the first time I have ever heard of it.

I still could not believe it.’ The hospital paid compensation to the woman and gave gifts to the family promising that they would improve their process to prevent it from happening again in the future.
