Chicago officer hurt in shooting that killed Ella French is out of hospital, marks 7-year work anniversary

Officer Carlos Yanez, Jr., lost an eye and movement on the left side of his body after being shot in the head twice.

“Seven years,” he said in a video.

“We did it.”
