The United States House of Representatives has finally elected a new House Speaker after weeks of the seat sitting empty and another candidate, Jim Jordan, failing to garner enough support.
The new Speaker is Mike Johnson and while many might not have known who he was prior to his election, he was central to the false claims and erroneous lawsuits attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
