Jim Baugh, 60, Greencastle, died Friday in Clarian Health/Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.Mr. Baugh served 32 years with the Putnam County Sheriff's Department, serving as deputy sheriff with the rank of captain.
He served as Putnam County Sheriff from 1975-82.His memberships included Greencastle Christian Church, Temple Lodge 47 Free & Accepted Masons at Greencastle, Terre Haute Valley of Scottish Rite, Putnam County Fraternal Order of Police, American Society for Law Enforcement Training, International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors, officer and board member of Indiana Police Firearms Training Association, board member of Indiana Sheriff's Association and adjunct staff instructor at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
