Chapel Hill restaurant behind 'best burger in America' files for bankruptcy

Amid an ongoing expansion, entities behind all three Al’s Burger Shack locations in Chapel Hill have filed for bankruptcy reorganization. Al’s, which has locations on Chapel Hill’s Franklin Street and at Southern Village and Governor’s Village, filed three separate Chapter 11 bankruptcy petitions for each restaurant.
