Newrange Gold Corp (CVE:NRG) (OTCQB:NRGOF) signed a US$1 million share purchase agreement to sell its Colombian subsidiary Corporacion Minera de Colombia (CMC) to private Australian mining company Andean Mining Corporation Pty Ltd. The company received US$250,000 in an advance payment, with the remaining $750,000 to be paid after nine months. Andean has also issued 15% of its share capital to Newrange and intends to proceed with a listing on the Australian Stock Exchange. Andean previously held an option on CMC’s El Dovio Project, which was terminated when the deal was signed. Newrange will retain a 2% net smelter return on the project, capped at US$6 million. Lingo Media Corporation (CVE:LM) (OTC:LMDCF) subsidiary ELL Technologies Inc, a language-learning EdTech company, said Friday that it will hold a webinar to help English teachers adjust to teaching remotely during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Tonopah West is a significant landholding within the historic district, comprising 97 patented and 17 unpatented lode mining claims. The previously worked Tonopah silver district produced 174 million ounces of silver and 1.8 million ounces of gold, while Blackrock's ground yielded 2.1 million tons of total Tonopah gold and silver production. CytoDyn Inc (OTCQB:CYDY) announced that Novant Health is initiating patient enrollment in a Phase 2b/3 trial for CytoDyn’s flagship drug candidate leronlimab in treating severely and critically ill coronavirus (COVID-19) patients. At least 54 patients have been treated with leronlimab so far under the US Food and Drug Administration’s emergency Investigational New Drug (IND) program. Preliminary results from this patient population led to the FDA’s nod for CytoDyn’s Phase 2b/3 clinical trial for 390 patients, which is randomized and placebo-controlled with a 2:1 active drug to placebo ratio. The Vancouver, Washington-based company said patients enrolled in the trial are expected to be given leronlimab for two weeks with the primary endpoint being the mortality rate at 28 days, and a secondary endpoint mapping the mortality rate at 14 days. Great Panther Mining Limited (TSE:GPR) (NYSEAMERICAN:GPL) saw a substantial growth in revenue during its first quarter of 2020 thanks to production from its newest Tucano gold mine in Brazil. For its first quarter ended March 31, 2020, the Vancouver-based miner generated US$48.1 million in revenue, a 188% increase over the same quarter a year earlier. Tucano clocked US$38 million in revenue in the first quarter driven by higher sales volume from Great Panther’s Mexican operations and higher realized gold and silver prices, according to the company. Avalon GloboCare Corp (NASDAQ: AVCO) announced that it is advancing its next-generation immune cell therapy to treat blood cancers using FLASH-CAR technology co-developed with strategic partner Arbele Limited. Medexus Pharmaceuticals Inc (CVE:MDP) (OTCQB:PDDPF) announced after the bell that it had agreed to a US$20 million asset-based credit facility, which the company used to pay down US$10 million of a previous term loan. The ABL facility, arranged by MidCap Financial Trust, has a term of 38 months and a US$20 million revolving commitment with an uncommitted US$10 million accordion. It bears interest at a rate of one month of the London Iner-Bank Offered Rate (LIBOR) plus 3.95% and is subject to a LIBOR floor of 1.5%. Medexus used the initial advance from the facility to repay $10 million of the principal outstanding of a US$20 million term loan from February. The interest rate on the new facility is 255 basis points (2.55%) lower than the rate on the term loan.
