Digital media company BuzzFeed has acquired HuffPost, the site co-founded by Ariana Huffington in 2005 as a left-leaning answer to conservative news outlets. BuzzFeed, which is led by another HuffPost co-founder, Jonah Peretti, also announced it has formed a partnership that will make Verizon Media a minority shareholder and enable the companies to share content.
