Florida sees dip in unemployment claims to end 2020

Florida saw another dip in first-time unemployment claims for the last full week of 2020. The Sunshine State saw 23,053 first-time unemployment claims for the week ending Dec. 26, according to data from the U.S. Department of Labor. That is down 5,556 from the previous week’s claims of 28,609. That total places the state at No. 10 for total claims. California with 167,622 claims continued to lead the nation.
