Coronavirus: What's happening in Canada and around the world on Friday

The United States will require airline passengers from the United Kingdom to get a negative COVID-19 test before their flight, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced late Thursday. It joins other countries in announcing new travel restrictions because of a new coronavirus variant.
