India reports 6,531 new Covid cases and 315 deaths; Omicron tally rises to 578

India reported 7,141 Covid recoveries in the last 24 hours, which has taken the total recoveries to 3,42,37,495. The recovery rate is currently at 98.40 per cent. The daily positivity rate stands at 0.87 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate is at 0.63 per cent.
