Lakhimpur Kheri violence: Bail cancelled by SC, minister's son surrenders

Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister Ajay Kumar Mishra Teni and an accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence surrendered today, after his bail was cancelled by the Supreme Court last week. Mishra is said to be the owner of a vehicle that mowed down some protesters, and was allegedly inside the vehicle during the time of the incident. He was arrested a few days after the incident, but granted bail by the Allahabad HC.
