Tamil Nadu assembly re-adopts bill banning online gambling

The Tamil Nadu assembly on Thursday re-adopted the bill to ban online gambling, which governor R N Ravi had returned a few weeks ago questioning the state's legislative competence. Barring the BJP, all other parties criticised the governor for returning the bill. It was passed without any changes to the bill passed on October 19. It is likely to be sent to the Raj Bhavan on Friday.
