An unidentified flying object (UFO) was spotted over Imphal airport in India, leading to the closure of airspace and suspension of civilian flights for over three hours. The Indian Air Force (IAF) scrambled fighter jets in response to the sighting, which lasted from 2:30pm to 4:05pm. The IAF's Eastern Command referred to the object as a "white flying object" and activated their air defence response mechanism. Flight operations resumed after clearance from the IAF. The incident is expected to be investigated separately by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and defence authorities.
