Poll 2023: Congress and BJP in nail-biting contest in Chhattisgarh

Congress takes lead in 47 constituencies, closely trailed by BJP in 42. Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel takes a lead in Patan seat. Nine ministers of Bhupesh Baghel government are trailing. Deputy chief minister T S Singhdeo is trailing in Ambikapur. BJP's Rajesh Agrawal is leading. Chhattisgarh's film star Anuj Sharma takes the lead over his Congress counterpart Chhaya Verma. Counting of votes for all 90 assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh commenced. Voter turnout stood at 76.31 per cent.
