Solar mission Aditya-L1 will reach destination on January 6: ISRO chairman

India's Aditya-L1 solar mission will reach the Lagrangian point (L1), located 1.5 million km from Earth, on January 6. The mission, the first Indian space-based observatory, was launched by ISRO on September 2. Aditya-L1 will enter the L1 point and rotate around it for the next five years, gathering important data about the Sun's dynamics. ISRO chairman S Somanath also mentioned India's plan to build a space station called 'Bharatiya space station' as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi's instructions.
