(MENAFN - The Peninsula) The International Public Relations Associations (IPRA) has announced the opening of the nomination for the annual Golden World Awards in the public relations field for Qatari institutions, companies and bodies. The nomination process will continue until May 10, 2021. Jassim Fakhroo, the National Coordinator of IPRA in Qatar, stated that many government agencies, private institutions and leading national companies have been invited to participate in the IPRA Golden World Awards. Many of them are eligible to compete to win golden prizes. The final announcement of the jury's selections in each category will take place in July, while the final ceremony will be held at the end of the year. Fakhroo explained that applying for the Awards is open to all professionals in communication and public relations, other fields such as corporate and internal communications, brand building, and reputation management. Companies, consultancies, associations, institutions, governmental and non-governmental organisations, universities and educational institutions can apply for the Awards. He said that the Awards, in its 37 categories, will honour distinguished institutions in this field, whether from the public sector or the private sector, following carefullydeveloped international standards and through a professional, independent, and impartial evaluation committee. 'The participation of Qatari institutions in this Awards enhances the spirit of competitiveness in search of excellence in public relations, and that the Awards uplift the standards of leadership in the public relations system, upgrading skills of its practitioners, and achieving sustainability in this field, he added. The categories include business-to-business PR campaign, creative use of PR by a public sector body, reputation and brand management, creative positioning of a company image or brand, social media.
