77% of the rape allegations made to the police in the UK are false, according to government statistics. We know this from a groundbreaking book[1] by William Collins, the man behind the website The Illustrated Empathy Gap.[2]Because false rape allegations are so common, many men’s lives are ruined because they don’t have anonymity – even when they haven’t yet been charged, and sometimes they’re never charged. Conversely, the women making the allegations enjoy anonymity for the rest of their lives. Very few women are prosecuted for perverting the course of justice or wasting police time.

Mike Buchanan, leader of the political party Justice for Men & Boys[3]
(2013-) comments:

As a society, we’re in denial about the scale on which women make false rape allegations. In 2014 Janet Bloomfield, a Canadian anti-feminist Men’s Rights Advocate (MRA), published her insightful article 13 reasons women lie about being raped.[4]The media recently reported a story about Sir Stephen House, a former Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, who’d allegedly told Betsy Stanko, a feminist professor, that the 'bulk' of rape complaints are cases of 'regretful sex'.[5]
He was clearly persuaded to deny having spoken a truth that police officers working in this area have long known to be a truth.

The assertion that women who have genuinely been raped (or who believe they have) would be disinclined to come forward if publicity were given to the commonality of false rape allegations needs to be refuted firmly. The destruction of innocent men’s lives is too high a price to pay for the current legal situation with respect to men’s lack of anonymity.

In 2010 the Conservative / Lib Dem Coalition Agreement committed to the re-introduction of anonymity for those accused of sexual offences, until and unless convicted. Following lobbying by feminist politicians and others, the coalition reneged on the commitment.

I am today repeating my demand for the re-introduction of that anonymity, an issue explored in our election manifesto.[6]
It’s time to end the sacrifices of men to feminist ideology, sacrifices which all too often result in suicide, the #1 cause of death of British men under 45.

Justice for Men & Boys was launched in 2013. It was then, and remains to this day, the only party in the English-speaking world campaigning for the human rights of men and boys.
